Photographer’s Note
Another version of the sunset from Lake Lagdo in Northern Cameroon. First post can be seen here: Day's End.
Two fisherman coming home from fishing on the lake all day. If you ever find yourself here, the southern shore of Lake Lagdo, make sure you get up early and go out at sunset, when the fisherman are going out and coming home. Not to mention the great light. It's a spectacular setting, landscape and cultural experience, as is Cameroon as a whole.
A bit grainy, I know, but one I like nonetheless.

Not too grainy John.
Anyone who can join in on the end of a long, fiery and confusing forum with the words, 'Damn - what's goin on here?' deserves to have his photos looked at. But it's too hard to answer your question; I wouldn't know where to start.
Anyway, the photo is a beauty, very simple and with nicely organised main elements, especially the oars at just the right angle. Great atmosphere.

Andrew

Hi John,
A very atmospheric image. Good choice of the wide aperture to enable a fast shutter speed to freeze the movement of the men in the boat. The grain doesn't bother me but you could rectify that pretty well by using Neat Image or Noise Ninja Photoshop plug-ins.
Cheers!

I saw this similiar shot from your previous many months ago but I see this has a different result, all details are perfect, I think it couldn't be better. Perhaps this will be one of your best pictures so far. Really like it John and I'm glad you are back. Merry Christmas.....

Ciao John
A great daily life shot, with this attractive sun (focal length 200 mm). I would have waited a little bit more in order to have the 2 rowers on the right of the shot (balancing the sun, so giving equilibrium to the picture).
Nevertheless, I like it.
