Photographer’s Note
This image was captured during the celebrations of the youths in the Trankei. A traditional african circumsision of the young men. These boys have to undergo living in the open veld where they are circumsised by a traditional healer and have to spend a couple of weeks in the bush fending for themselves. This group of young men were seeing returning from a party at Kobinn which is on the Transkei Coast about 2 half hours north of East London
