It was really impressive view: the big elephant was swimming across Zambezi river (or mayby was going across the bottom of the river... I'm not sure...) in the evening... Could you imagine it?

Haha, his nose out of the water like a periscope! Yeah, he does look a bit high above the water to be swimming. Guess he is walking over. Like the right background that is creating depth to the image. Nice.

I agree with you, the view of a swimming or walking elephant while crossing a river is gorgeous and impressive at the same time, especially if you're nearby in a canoe. Very good capture of a true African daily life.

A precious moment. Big animals swimming is a great view hard to forget. And not so often seen even in nature documents. I've once seen a swimming elk here in Finland.
