Photographer’s Note

One of manny ice caves near Polish Antarctic Station. This one is like big pocket in old (from 1979) end morain. Because of climat warming front of the glacier moved from this place about 2 km back.

This photo is a panorama made from 9 single shots. I had manual setings: f/8 and speed 1/250 s

No Piotrus, kolejna z Twoich ciekawych lodowych propozycji. Czy korzystales ze statywu?? 1/250 podpowiada, ze nie... ale jaka jest prawda wiesz tylko Ty.

Maybe, frame can be narrow at upper and bottom ( in my opinion ).

wspaniale to zdjecie.. sylwetka czlowieka lodu w wielkich drzwiach prowadzacych z cienia do jasnosci.. w naturze pewnie oslepiajacej.. za ktora jakby niebo.. a moze kra.. jakkolwiek wszystko wydaje sie piekne Pieknem zupelnie nierealnym.. ale i miejsca, ktore odwiedzasz nie sa codzienne.. Bravo!

I was going to sat I would have liked to see more of theroof but then I read the note. You would have had to take alot more to do that!
Has that sort of feeling of Scotts expedition with some of the old Photographs showing the same geological feature. A Brilliant POV

Hi Piotr,
This is like a scene from the last chapter of Hoeg's Smilla's Sense of Snow. Your POV from inside the cave/pocket gives the photo a sense of depth and the human factor helps the viewer guess how big the cave is. Well done.
