The stark rainy play-ground and suitably blurred school buildings make an excellent background and add to the "story" of this photo. The B&W makes one wonder if that umbrella was originally red with white polka-dots, or blue or...

Im surprised you got so little critiques on that. I think its a great shot. I just fell in love with it from the thumbnail...
its so atmospheric, and plain, and melancholic in a way (because of the weather).
definitely one of my favourites.

after 1,5 years, I am also surprised too that you had few critiques on this (and on many other pictures of yours)...I can imagine your baby was just born and had much less admirers...

A lovely delicate shot, Adam. More than the uniform (which might be of interest to outsiders) I really appreciate the shy, borderline forlorn expression on this country girl's face. Well seen indeed! Francis
