Photographer’s Note

The legendary Penang ferry which started the maiden journey back in 1920s certainly had its ups and downs, but still it is making its daily round along the busy water of the Penang harbor. Currently managed by Penang Port Authority, the ferry was the only mode of transportation connecting Penang Island and the Mainland 80 years ago. Today, the colorful Penang ferry has became an iconic figure of the historic Penang. Still thousands are using its services either on foot or car and motorcycle.

Etonnante prise de vue ! J'ai tout d'abord cru à un reflet. La compo est intéressante et la partie jaune joue le rôle de cadre. L'image manque un peu de qualité mais attire le regard.

Hi Urs,When i saw this image on the thumbnail i thought you had the interior in b&w .I now see it was the interior in shade .The unusally large yellow openings which your framing emphasizes provide such contrast,have visited Penang but missed the ferry ride, well brought to our attention. Tom

Des jaunes très prnoncés qui font bien ressortir le reste d'ailleurs

Hi Urs,
I like this shot as it really tighten the view in tis natural frame of the ferry.
Inside we could see types of action and poses by the passengers. Very well captured to depict the happening.
Lovely to have the guy at the window.
