Photographer’s Note
There are pigeons galore at the Gandantegchinlen Khiid Monastery in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar. This Tibetan-style Buddhist monastery is commonly known as Gandan Monastery meaning "Great Place of Complete Joy". It was built in the mid 19th century and today it is home to more than 150 monks and even more pigeons.

Very nice shot, Marlene! The pigeons create a nice effect on the foreground, with excellent motion. Well taken!

Hello Marlene,
Already as a thumbnail this picture seemed rather special. There's an interesting glimpse of Mongolian temple architecture in the background, but the pigeons almost hide the view. Being so close to so many pigeons is a bit unpleasant, in my opinion, so this is enough for me.
Best wishes,
Gert

Nice shot - through the mass of pigeons it's good to see the Mongoian architecture. 2 different subjects existing together in the 1 shot!
