Hello Uhu,
You have managed very well in this photo to include the ceiling, in my opinion has great design and best feature of this one, of course I understand, to take just the ceiling would not look so good.
Slight out of focus the people in far end, this is as should be.
So you are lucky to have such nice architecture and interiors for your photos.

Hello Uhu,
I get so much enjoyment from your St. Petersburg photos and this is no exception. It looks like a family collection rather than a museum. The vaulted stuccoed ceiling is restrained and graceful -- though, as you say, far from humble. You did a very nice job with difficult strong light -- but I would add some sharpness (WS).
