Photographer’s Note
Arab Street in Singapore has some of the prettiest shop fronts that have escaped the rampant modernization. These houses have been restored and offer a glimpse of what Singapore was like even twenty years ago.Sadly not many streets like this one remain as colonial architecture slowly disappeared to make place for apartment blocks and shopping malls.
Taken on a rainy and overcast day.maybe not a bad day for architecture photography as the shadows are not too strong, at least upon the facades.

Hello Klaudio,
Splendid fronts exactly a painting, excellent sharpness and clarity.
A pity that we can see the fences before the shop windows.
Composition and presentation are very well. TFS.
Have a nice weekend,
John

That is great they did preserve those beautiful buildings. No one knows for how long, but I hope they will not be demolished. The shot is excellent with the shops on bottom giving a perfect context. Well done.

Hi Klaudio. Saved on celluloid! Well as a digital file ;-). I wonder how long these will remain in their present state. Nice catch, good detail and symmetry. Thanks for sharing.
Have a good Sunday. Paul.

Hi Kaudio,
Thanks for this image ! When i travel and I see those buildings, old, from other periods still alive I get really touched ! These buildings are saved, and I like your POV, colors, and the decision of sharing this photograph with us. Singapore is some how different !
Take care and best wishes,
Roser

dear Klaudio,
a very precious picture.
I like old houses, especially unique style buildings like this.
the original air in Singapore is almost Eastern plus a little Arabic and Western. that characteristic is very well felt in this shot.
and this colors and atmosphere in shops are wonderful too.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Klaudio,
I like this shot very much. the beauty lies in the detailed work of smalldecorations on every part of the building. It is almost the same in Malaysia. Excellent presentation of the house and the exploitation of the light is well spent.
the graphical apsect is a treasure here.
Regards,
Foozi
