Sapan Kwai is a district in Bangkok which is famous for amulets but also is a prominent flee market. Here you can find anything used. It's a place for bargain hunting and be careful, not everything is antique as claimed, It may be produced over night in a nearby workshop.

Interesting, your note! But that's a standard practise anywhere in Asia...most of the antiques are in fact fresh from the mint, as they say it!

Hi Urs,
I actually live in Saphan Kwai area when i am in Bangkok, and i am there very often!
In the FG you have a jeweller though.. the amulet seller is the guy in the back with the orange 'long live the King' bracelet! A realistic slice of Bangkok daily life!
