Calle Amargura by night Photo

Photographer’s Note

This is a middle of the night picture from Calle Amargura towards Capitolio National in Habana Veija. This area of Havana is very safe even in the middle of the night due to many cameras and policemen. The time has passed twelve but still a lot of people on the streets. The oppressive heat of the day is gone and a temperature around 25 degrees Celsius makes it more convenient to be outdoors. This kind of daily life scene can be seen in all bigger Cuban cities.

Jan,
Very god picture,even it is always tough to do night picture.
I like that blue dome in the middle,it divides(brakes) the street's darkness.

A good night scene, even with the lights in star patterns. It's not easy to get this kind of picture. Nice that you were able to show the people, too.

Hi Jan, I like how the architectural details have shown up so well in this night time shot ,the dome and columns with the blue lighting look very good,i find the overexposed white lights takes a little away from an otherwise attractive image .Thanks Tom.

I really enjoy your night shots! I myself like to take twilight/night shots very much, so I appreciate your endeavours to capture the mood of the night!
The scene looks a bit mystic, warm and at the same time friendly. I like the contrast and the juxtaposition of the colours: the bluish cathedral and the warm golden light of the street lamps. Excellent capture of the mood!
