Playa El Valle. Photo

Photographer’s Note

On June 13 I went in a field trip with a group of Dominican photographers to visit the North coast of Samana Bay called Playa El Valle. This is a beach not visited by many people, local or tourists because is located in a place very difficult to reach. From this rocks flows a spring with pure and clear water.

Sorry I haven't been too active in TE but 6 days ago a lightning stroke in our backyard and damage all electric communication system in our home, thanks God the hole family was inside our home and nothing happens to us, only a tremendous impression of the sound and everything went white, something that we will never forget.

Taken from a good angle and well composed.
This deserted beach looks very attractive with the big rocks and with the hill at the other side rising out of the water very steeply.

Hola Emile,

Que coincidencia verla solo unos minutos después que tu la enviaste. Ve que tu paseo a Samana fue provechoso, a pesar del cielo cargado. La compo es esplendida, muy fuerte gráficamente y con bellos colores. Uno se pone a imaginar que es una playa escondida, y esa apertura es el único acceso.

Un relámpago en el jardin, vaya que experiencia! Solo espero que el seguro haya pagado todos los prejuicios y me alegro que nadie se ha herido.

I like the contrast between the dark colours in front and the soft tones of the sea, the sky and the mountain. The trench in the sand is a special detail.

menudo susto habréis tenido, pero gracias a Dios no habéis sufrido daños personales, sólo en la instalación eléctrica de vuestra casa, y eso, siempre se puede arreglar. Nuestros corazones están con vosotros, amigos.
Sobre la foto, ¿qué puedo decir de las espléndidas playas de tu país?, pues sólo que las disfruto virtualmente a través de tus bellas fotos, y que tenemos muchas ganas de ver algunas personalmente, así como de disfrutar de vuestra compañía unos días.
El encuadre está bien pensado, las rocas en el primer plano son una buena antesala para el paisaje de playa salvaje que vemos a través de ellas.

Una composición estupenda con esas interesantes rocas de composición muy diferentes, en primer plano. Me gustan las playas solitarias como esta, al menos en ese momento, y ese bello color esmeralda en el agua. Bonito trabajo.

Después de leer tu nota, considero que fue muy afortunado (y gracias a Dios) de que nada malo pasara a ti y a tu familia, dado que las cosas materiales se recuperan. Bendito...!

Con relación a la foto, es como inhóspito el sitio, allí como escondido, pero con tu lente lo has atraído. Me gustan las tonalidades del agua, con sus caracteristicos colores caribeños, como conjugan bellamente con los terracotas de la playa.

Gran punto de vista, en un estupendo encuadre.

The view to the sandy beach has been given a fine natural framing!
Seems like the light is a bit muted but the fine natural colours benefit from this...
Good details in the rocks, and the image has a great feeling of depth!

La verdad que tu punto de vista con las rocas es bastante original, parece una visión de alguien escondido jaja, y luego una profunidad impresionante con esa playa y color, buen manejo de la luz y buena definición sobre todo en las rocas! Buen trabajo!

Yes, this beach looks very peaceful and I can imagine myself walking along the shore...I like the way you have framed it, in between the rocks and with the hill behind it. An interesting contrast as well!

La mer et la plage vues entre les rochers c'est magnifique car j'adore les rochers, surtout au bord de la mer. Celui au centre en avant-plan, je ne cesse pas de l'admirer, les couleurs sont intrigantes. Beau travail mon ami. Moi aussi je suis assez occupé et je ne va pas sur TE comme je le voudrais.
