Yellow on green Photo

Photographer’s Note

Ésta es otra escena del verano de 2008, para recordar aquellos bellos días soleados, y olvidar el mal tiempo que estamos sufriendo las últimas semanas.

Es una foto tomada en la Collada de l’Estall, a 1924m de altitud, durante una agradable excursión por la zona, en la que pudimos disfrutar de unas vistas impresionantes y de una buena barbacoa en un lugar especialmente habilitado para ello.

El encuadre en un ángulo cerrado intenta contrastar las flores amarillas en el prado con el bosque de pino negro al fondo. Amarillo sobre verde.

El WS es una toma complementaria en un ángulo abierto del mismo lugar, en la arista que separa los dos valles, donde se puede ver el grandioso paisaje y el Pico de Casamanya (2740m) al fondo, bajo un cielo azul muy limpio.

This one is another summer scene of 2008, to remember those beautiful sunny days, and to forget the bad weather that we are suffering last weeks.

It is a photo taken in the Collada de l'Estall, to 1924m of altitude, during a pleasant trekking across this area, in which we could enjoy a few impressive sights and a good barbecue in a place specially enabled for it.

The setting in a closed angle tries to resist the yellow flowers in the meadow with the forest of black pine in to the bottom. Yellow on green.

The WS is a complementary capture in a wider angle of the same place, in the edge that separates both valleys, where it is possible to see the grand landscape and Casamanya's Peak (2740m) in background, under a blue very clean sky.

Hola Josep.

Mal temps, mal temps, mal temps...bahh...per una miqueta d'aire i ale, tots costipats...
(tinc 5 pins de l'apartament sobre el terrat per cert...)

Sibre la foto...li falta un pel de contrast crec. No sé si és el monitor de la feina o sóc jo però m'hagués agradat més contrastos.

Això si, la imatge és xul.la!

Beautiful lush green tones that epitomize the colors of summer. The ratio of meadow to trees is good since that picture isn't just cut in half. The DOF is deep and thus a good choice for this kind of landscape picture.

Your simple photo really heats the heart - and I would like to lie down here in the sun now, listening to the crickets. But - there are "only" six month... ;-)

Bonjour Josep.
Ce cadrage serré sur ce bout de près et la lisière de la forêt fait une photo minimaliste du meilleur effet. La photo du WS est également d'une grande beauté.

Sencilla y preciosa. Estupendos colores. A mi me cuesta mucho reflejar en una foto los diferentes tonos de verdes y en esta foto lo has conseguido.

I like both images Josep, but this one is beautiful in its simplicity. I might just have cropped a bit from the top but other than that it is excellent with the wonderful summer wild flowers that looks as if they are clover and buttercups.

Voir une telle image en plein hiver est une surprise qui provoque notre mémoire. L'image, est cadrée de façon simple, mais équlibrée, c'est efficace, et beau. Cette nature doit actuellement vivre au ralenti dans un froid glacial. Une belle idée, une bonne image. Bravo.

Simple but beautiful. To accentuate the effect of the flowers and the contrast, I guess you could have gone for a crop at the top as well. Like the wider view in the WS, especially the view of the peak emerging in the distance. Well done my friend!

J'aime bien ces deux tonalités de verts ainsi que cette multitude de petites fleurs jaunes, il manque peut-être un personnage coloré pour compléter cette composition, en tout cas c'est très bucolique.

Hola mi querido amigo Josep.
La verdad que por lo que ustedes están pasando con tantas tormentas y frío es muy bueno recordar los buenos momentos del verano, tu foto es un buen ejemplo de lo que esto significa, el verdor y los colores de las flores. Tu punto de vista es muy bueno así como tu composición. Tu WS con una vista amplia pero con un impresionante cielo azul esta muy bueno.
Pase este fin de semana largo en La Romana ya que este pasado Lunes fue día festivo.
Espero que se encuentren bien y que el mal tiempo este pasando. Felicitaciones por el triunfo del Barcelona.
