Andorra, officially the Principality of Andorra ,is a small landlocked country in western Europe, located in the eastern Pyrenees mountains and bordered by Spain and France. It is currently a prosperous country mainly because of tourism and its status as a tax haven. The people of Andorra are currently listed as having the highest human life expectancy in the world, at an average of 85 years at birth. Andorra is the sixth smallest nation in Europe. Its name is thought to be derived from an ancient Basque tribe, the Andosinos, who are believed to have inhabited that region of the Pyrenees thousands of years ago.
Andorra is a parliamentary co-principality with the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell (Catalonia), Spain, as co-princes, in a duumvirate. The politics of Andorra take place in a framework of a parliamentary representative democracy, whereby the Prime Minister of Andorra is the head of government, and of a pluriform multi-party system.
Responsibility for defending Andorra rests with Spain and France. Andorra currently has very limited nominal military force, used for ceremonial purposes only.
The real truth is that Andorra is nowadays a clear target in the agendas of all compulsive buyers, due to its enormous proliferation of all kinds of shops, electronics, clothes, sports, pharmacy ... ad infinitum, and let's be honest what could be better than shopping between mountains and nature?

El Principado de Andorra (en catalán, Principat d'Andorra) es un país mediterráneo del sur de Europa, situado en los Pirineos y con una altitud media de 1.996 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Es fronterizo por el sur con España, limitando con las comarcas catalanas de Cerdaña, Alto Urgel y Pallars Sobirà, y por el norte con Francia, limitando con el departamento de Ariège, en la región de Mediodía-Pirineos. No tiene fuerzas armadas propias y su defensa es responsabilidad de España y Francia.En caso de emergencias y/o desastres naturales, como por ejemplo las inundaciones que ocurrieron en el año 1982, se convoca al somatén, formado por hombres mayores de 18 años y con nacionalidad andorrana.
Durante mucho tiempo pobre y aislado, ha conseguido una notable prosperidad desde la II Guerra Mundial a través del turismo y, especialmente, por su condición de paraíso fiscal.
Lo cierto es que hoy en día Andorra es objetivo prioritario de todo aquel comprador compulsivo, por su enorme proliferción de tiendas de cualquier tipo, electrónica, ropa, fotografía, farmácias, armerías...y así hasta el infinito...y para ser honestos, puede haber algo mejor que ir de tiendas entre montañas y naturaleza?
