Photographer’s Note

La plus belle de Flandre, the most beautiful of Flandres. Those are the names they give to the greatest cycle tour of the early spring: de Tour de Flandres/de ronde van Vlaanderen.
The centre of this tour - which is not leading to the archetypical flat country but through the hilly country they call 'de Vlaamse Ardennen, les Ardennes Flandriennes'- is the town of Oudenaerde, with a very attractive big square with a magnificent gothic town hall.
Apart from a nasty fall, which brought some injuries like a painful wrist and some stitches on the chin, it was marvellous cycling trip, of which I hope to show you some more.

That's a very beautiful and quite interesting picture!
Level of sharpness, exposure, colors, depth of field are all excellent! As for the pov, maybe I'd try to avoid that flag right in the middle of that magnificent building right in the center of this picture! Anyway... just a hint! Everything else does please me a lot!

A fine composition of this lovely square. I like very much the inclusion of the cyclists who help direct the eyes towards the wonderful architecture of the town hall. A very nice light with good colours and clarity.

That's truly a wonderful sight! This square must be a really impressive place. All these people there show that it still is in good use and this building, I think the townhall, simply is gorgeous! Aworth-showing and worth-visiting place!

This is a great shot of this fine square. Your composition and POV are fine showing the building in the center from an angle that creates depth and direction. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail. The bike riders give the scene a sense of direction.

Mooie compositie met beide renners links en rechts van het bord met het menu. Maar absoluut prachtig is het gotische stadhuis hier met de belforttoren.

La plus belle de Flandre c'est bien ce qu'on voit à travers ta photo. La lumière sur cette place est excellente, l'animation est celle de l'été et l'édifice ancien d'une grande beauté architecturale.
