‘Prague - The bridge‘

For great views of the city center and the skyline of Prague you have to go to the top of the hill Petřín.

There you will find the Petřínská rozhledna (Petřín lookout tower), a 60 metre high steel framework tower which resembles a little the Eiffel Tower.
The Petřínská rozhledna was built in 1891 and was used as an observation tower as well as a transmission tower.
Today it’s a major tourist attraction and offers stunning views over the city.

On the picture you see the Charles Bridge, so called since 1870.
Before the name was Stone Bridge (Kamenný most) or the Prague Bridge (Pražský most).
As the most most important connection between the Old Town and Prague Castle it’s always crowded with tourists. During the day painters, musicians and owners of kiosks make this bridge to the most busy place in town.
