Photographer’s Note
‘Prague - The bridge‘
For great views of the city center and the skyline of Prague you have to go to the top of the hill Petřín.
There you will find the Petřínská rozhledna (Petřín lookout tower), a 60 metre high steel framework tower which resembles a little the Eiffel Tower.
The Petřínská rozhledna was built in 1891 and was used as an observation tower as well as a transmission tower.
Today it’s a major tourist attraction and offers stunning views over the city.
On the picture you see the Charles Bridge, so called since 1870.
Before the name was Stone Bridge (Kamenný most) or the Prague Bridge (Pražský most).
As the most most important connection between the Old Town and Prague Castle it’s always crowded with tourists. During the day painters, musicians and owners of kiosks make this bridge to the most busy place in town.

hi paul,
good view on the famous Charles bridge, in high angle view, from the top of the hill.
The bridge makes a diagonal in the middle of the picture.
Good light on the roofs.

Hi Paul,
I had the opportunity to spend in Golden Prague a month when I was a student.
It was my first job abroad! :)
I remember perfect beer, beautiful girls (some of them I remember very exactly ;))) ) and charming architecture.
This is REAL European city with rich history, which is looking at us, and you can feel its breath walking on Prague Old City rows.
Best Regards
Chris

Dag Paul,
Praag een echte foto genieke stad, dikwijls heb ik deze brug gezien, en altijd blijft dit mij inspireren.
De lichte nevel over de stad maakt alles nog aantrekkelijker.
Zeer mooie samenstelling, goed gedaan, bedankt.

hi Paul
The foggy air around the bridge is giving a different mood of the view for this Prague view from the hilltop. I like your composition to show the bridge link to each side of the river. The mostly red color of rooftops here show the choice of most people here.
Good work.

Dag Paul,
er Zit een mooie Z in de compositie.
De kleuren zijn prachtig en de heldere voorgrond steekt prachtig af tegen de mistige overklant.

Paul, most people I know who went to Prague tell me it's the most beautiful city in the world. I can't wait to go to see for myself!
Here, I like the red roofs and the beautiful birdge.
I find it cool how pics from this city that are taken at day show a city that seems very quiet and beautiful while pics taken at night all have this "Kafkaesque" mood in it, almost scary.
I wonder why you shot this at f/4,5. there seems to be plenty of light, I think you could have closed the aperture a little to make sure you have a deeper depth of field.
see you!
Marc
