‘Hydra - Spring in Hydra’

Walking on the hills that surround the port and the town of Hydra I had lots of opportunities to shoot nice panoramic pictures.
It was not a very clear moment when I took this picture. The mountains at the horizon are the mountains of the Peloponnesos. From Hydra to Ermioni (Peloponnesos) is only 15 minutes by boat.

I reduced the noise in the sky and the mountains but I’m still not very happy with this part of the picture.
What I like very much are the springcolours on the foreground and on the empty space between the houses.

Spring is a beautiful season to visit Greece.

Hi Paul, the slope with yellow flowers at the foreground extending towards Hydra with its red-roofed houses and the sea at the background. Really a nice composition with a well chosen point of view. The only minor thing is the strong sunlight at the top-left.

Qulle magnifique vue plongeante sur ce superbe village . Les petites fleurs jaunes , la verdure , les arbres , s'ajoutent à la beauté du lieu . La lumière est très bien captée , malgré le temps incertain . Le chemin pavé est de toute beauté .

Good morning Paul

It's certainly a great Spring picture. As you said it's the best time to visit the place. Lovely panoramic with excellent colors and those stone walls in the fg look really nice. Nice sharp details and nice capture of the houses nestled at the hill side. I don't think the noise is that disturbing and after all we are amateurs not professionals. Have a lovely day and TFS

I agree perfectly with your own judgement of this picture. Weighting the faults and the merits, the lattest win. (:-
I agree with buin in saying that when the subject of a photo is interesting enough the minor tecnical faults don't matter.
Hydra is one of the places I'd like to go and I'm grateful for showing the beauty that I'd meet there.

Oh wow, this is a superb view overlooking the hill into the port. Really a wonderful scenery and you have captured it very well in this composition. Very lovely houses!

Salut Paul,
Belle vue sur la ville avec un air de printemps en avant plan et le mur de roches que j'aime bien. Bonne composition, excellente perspective et superbes couleurs. On a l'impression d'une légère inclinaison mais ça n'enlève rien à la beauté de la photo.

Hi Paul,
Love your hilltop POV looking down on this charming Greek village.
The rock fence in the foreground makes a very effective lead-in to the traditional orange roofs that lead us to the deep blue sea and sky.
