Dedicated to Susa's Mayor
Susa is a city in Piedmont, Italy. It is situated on a tributary of the Po River, at the foot of the Cottian Alps, 51 km (32 mi) west of Turin.
Susa (ancient: Segusium) was founded by the Gauls. In the 1st century AD it became freely part of the Roman Empire. Remains of the Roman city have been founded in the excavations of the central Savoy Square.
In the Middle and Modern ages Susa maintained an importance as a hub on the roads connecting southern France to Italy. During the Napoleonic era a new road, the Via Napoleonica, was built.

Hello Silvio,
A nicely framed composition of this very attractive town. I like the point of view making the church the centrepiece and including the background mountains. Very good colours and clarity.

Ciao Silvio,forse c'e' un po' troppo cielo inutile e poco spettacolare,ma per il resto e' una bella panoramica montana,mi piace molto il gran casino di differenti coperture dei tetti vecchi e nuovi...gli ottimi dettagli ne consentono un perfetto esame.Buona vacanza! Luciano

bella vista sui tetti di Susa con la montagna a fare da sfondo.
Unico appunto che ti faccio è che io al tuo posto avrei dato maggiore contrasto alla montagna che risulta essere un pò slavata.

My Italian is too rusty to write, therefore it has to be in English, sorry. The "sea" of roofs and the church in the middle give this picture the extra punch with a great DOF and good sharpness. Your colors are vibrant and the pastel colors of the background are very nice. Well done - I really like it.

What a picturesque town, Silvio. Thank you for introducing us all to Susa. The rough terrain of the Piedmont is so dramatic and beautiful. In this image, the golden cupola of the church immediately attracts the eye, and your composition has it at the best place.

dear Silvio,
the tower and roofs are quite like on the bottom of the lake,
and distant rock looks like watching here the bottom from water surface...
maybe the air makes me feel it, the pale blue air looks like the water indeed.
(today I saw the miniature town in the water tank for gold fishes, in my neighbor shop...)
anyway a charming town-scape you show us,
