Photographer’s Note

There's a saying known all over the world, and is that Rome is the city of cats. I can asure you that it is a complete lie. In every occasion that I have been in this city, I have looked for them fruitlessly, in the Coliseum, in the Isola Tiberina, in the Trastevere, even in Trevi fountain like Mastroiani and Anita Ekberg ... nothing at all!, But this time, in Campo dei Fiori, it has to be there!, I saw it...alone in the heights of the bright coloured roman roofs, as if it was spying all of us poor human like a God in the clouds.

Hay un dicho conocido por todo el mundo, que afirma que Roma es la ciudad de los gatos. Puedo asegurar que es una completa mentira!. En cada una de las ocasiones que he visitado esta ciudad, les he buscado infructuosamente...en el Coliseo, en la Isla Tiberina, en el Trastevere, incluso en la Fontana de Trevi, como en su día hicieron Mastroiani y Anita Ekberg, y nada de nada. Pero esta vez, en Campo dei Fiori, como no podía ser de otra manera! lo he visto, solitario en las alturas de los coloristas tejados, espiandonos a nosotros los pobres humanos, cómo lo haría un Dios desde su nube.

vedo che sei rimasto affascinato dai colori di Roma e qui ci presenti un tipico angolo molto colorato.
per i gatti ti assicuro che ci sono e sono anche tanti, vivono in delle colonie protette, una ad esempio è sulla piazza argentina.

This is a nicely composed shot of these colorful buildings. The architecture is great and you have presented in well. The angle of the shot is great giving the scene a nice sense of depth. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail.

les couleurs sont très fortes et agréables. Une photo qui montre qu'on construit un peu comme on veut pour bien occuper l'espace.
Une contre plongée qui avantage bien la hauteur de ces immeubles.

J'aime beaucoup l'effet velouté des couleurs de ces murs. La végétation du premier plan apporte un peu d'oxygène et de nature.

It's difficult to see the cat amidst the deep colours. The walls and corners of the houses create a fine graphic & geometric effect with good colour saturation. But I have to confess that I didn't know that Rome is a city of cats. Good colourful shot!

Los tonos calientes "de tierra" y la geometría algo desordenada pero aun harmoniosa constituyen una bella imagen, muy atractiva. Las especies de jardines colgados bien cuidados dan un señal de vida en eses dominios de su majestad el gato.

Hi felip, What has happened to the cats? When I was in Rome (and it mast hzve been in Roman times) there were plenty of them. Colisseum was just full. Maybe they sleep in winter? Splendid old house, even without this roof animal it would be very nice but so is fantastic. What colours of the walls! Very interesting different levels, and even garden on the roof. Splendid area for cat to be fit.
