Photographer’s Note

Three flags of Monaco flying outside a shuttered window. The colours around the old part of the city make it a wonderful place for bold pictures. Here the light is just enough to illuminate the scene well and create a soft shadow without being too harsh.

Good color choosing in this made it very very beautiful.
I like these kind of pictures too much.
Position of the window is good and the contrast made by the red of the flags and the green of the window is very nice.

Great hues and symmetry in this shot. I agree with your note about the light being just sufficient, with indeed a light shadow effect. Good clarity and depth. A fine capture.

This one is all about colour and light - both are beautiful. The combination of the bright yellow and green is good, and seems to be accented just right by the flags. The slightly off centre composition is interesting too, a nice way to give a little tension to what would have been a very static shot if it was perfectly centred. Well done!

Your picture is almost a painting, the sharpness and clarity are superb, the gold colour as base colour, but the green shutter make your picture very lovely, the flag his the cherry on the pastry.

there is an ellegant simplicity about this photo. I think the color combination along with soft lighting makes this photo very pleasant to look at. You must be very happy with the D200 quality. the pictures look fantastic!

interesting picture, very simple and the beautiful colors are great. It is sharp too. It may have also been interesting if this was in horizontal format with the window being on an end and the rest being wall.
