Photographer’s Note

During my last visit to Slovenia, I was in a special food event. I had two hours to enjoy the city and make some picture.

You can enjoy the Red bridge over the Drava River

This is and historic bridge in red tones.

Maribor is a city in Slovenia and the seat of the Maribor urban municipality. With a population of 108,000 as of 2002, it is the second-largest city in the country. Maribor lies on the river Drava at the meeting point of the Pohorje mountain, the Drava Valley, the Drava Plain, and the Kozjak and Slovenske gorice hill ranges. It is the center of the Slovenian region of Lower Styria and its largest city. The nearest larger urban center is Graz in Austria which is about 50 km (30 miles) away. Maribor's coat of arms features a white pigeon flying downwards above a white castle with two towers and a portcullis on a red shield. From Wikipedia

nice composition with great perspective and POV of the Drava Bridge.I like the reflections on the water as the houses in the background that looks to be surrounded from frames that are shaped from the arches of the bridge..Well done.

É sem dúvida uma bonita ponte mas aqui é a foto que interessa. Está fantástica, com uns reflexos lindíssimos e umas cores maravilhosas. Gosto imenso de ver como é que os globos dos candeeiros poderam dar aqueles reflexos. É mesmo muito curioso. E aquelas nuvens em tons de rosas ficaram a combinar muito bem com a cor mais escura da ponte.

une tres belle perspective de ce joli pont avec ces "yeux" dans l'eau comme reflets, un beau cadrage et une bonne netteté, je vois que tu as utilisé ton trépied, les petites lumières qui se refletent dans l'eau, tous ces éléements en font une excellente composition

O ponto de vista foi muito bem escolhido para tirar essa fotografia que está muito bela, pois a ponte tem uma estrutura bastante bonita e atraente! Sua cor vermelha também lhe realça o interesse! Tua foto com certeza a captou muito bem, no anoitecer (ou seria amanhecer?), com luzes já acesas (ou ainda acesas?), com esse reflexo espetacular! No geral a imagem está belíssima e me agrada muito! Gostei mesmo!

Bom dia Aires, reparo que andas bem activo nos posts :) Está bonita esta perspectiva da ponte e seu reflexo ao anoitecer. Dá para perceber que a cidade deve ser engraçada, pelo que se vê através do arco central. A cor vermelha da ponte é agradável em contraste com os azuis do céu.

Your POV is really excellent. I like discovering the city under the large archs of this bridge which has a surprising color especially at the present blue hour . The main part of tints deceive between blue and pinkish red. It gives a very beautiful atmosphere full of sweetness. The reflections are very interesting also with the rhythm of the lights.

Hi Aires!This is a nice capture of this ornate red bridge. The angle of the shot is nice using the bridge to create a diagonal through the shot which creates a sense of direction and depth. The bride shows excellent perspective and I like the blue hour and subtle colourings of the clouds. Reflections are first rate as is the detail. The inclusion of the bush adds a bit of green to the image which is pleasant here. Slovenia is a must see country, one of our favourites while there in Europe last year. Finally the lights in the water sparkle the image.

What I really like in this one is a fine evening natural
light, lamp posts like matches on the bridge and their
reflection in the river below.
(if it was me, I would have cropped off that little bit
of a roof visible near the left margin, for a less than
a centimetre)

hello Aires,
your trademark bridge photo :) I like a lot the purple colour and the interesting combination it creates with the deep blue of the sky and water. the strong perspective of the lines of the brigde work well to help the eye travel throught the photo, I like that a lot. I think I'd crop few milimiters from the right, the partial building is a little distractive, but that's a minor point. very nice work, my compliments.
