"In a small red house by the lake"was a very popular Swedish song from 40's in time when the rest of the world was in war I think it was the kind of symbol for the dream of staying outside this dark time.

I have never heard of this popular Swedish song...but it's pretty symbolic - just like this building!

it's nice to run away and stay "far from the madding crowd"

Never been to Sweden, but your images make a trip in going there very inviting. Lovely red houses near the water, lots of green around it, how idylic it can be.

Well, what can I say? A "typical" view, but so very nice! I think that this combination of colours (especially if they are so nicely reflected in the water) ever fails to create a good mood and a smile on lips!

Hej Anders,
This must be the ultimate Swedish motive! Here you have managed to frame the house with two trees, leaning away in a perfect way. Then you have underlined the house with some yellow reed. The reflections in the lake is another bonus. This makes you a real Swedish chauvinist!

It strikes me this would be the perfect place to celebrate Midtsommar, the place looks like a former small farm but now probably converted into someone's fancy weekend place...

Just peaceful! I love the scenery! Especially today whilst temperature in Greece is over 36 Celsius degrees!!
