Photographer’s Note

A few blocks away from the tourist streets of Gastown in Vancouver Canada, you find yourself in an area less recommended to visitors. (see my previous post "the dark side of the moon")
In a small alley I saw this man practicing his martial art skills. After I politely asked him if he had any intention to kill me and he confirmed equally politely that this was not his intention, the ice was broken. Mitchell turned out to be a very nice man, telling me about his favourite sport and offering me an additional demo.

Since then the position in capturing this man, are a bit scared, but sometimes appearances can be deceiving. You were very daring to walk the streets is not recommended, could have a good scare.
Excellent composition and details.

ta reaction similaire a ma logique de creation des images. La scene apparait et on ne la voit jamais plus. Le cas ou elle n'est pas eternisee par le photographe. Celle-ci a son avenir dans nos memoires. merci ami et je suis tres fiere de tes recantes visites. Amicalement

Pour ma part je pense que j'aurais plutôt pris la première rue se présentant à moi et au pas de course!
Bravo, d'avoir réussi à briser la glace! Ton personnage anime d'une manière fantastique ce lieu fait de tôles ondulées et de poubelles.
Une compo qui semble extraite d'un film.

exellent street shot.Mitchell is perfectly placed compositionally. I like the architectural details of the background and the colours. These give this a graphical feel.I always enjoy picture with peole best of all.
