Photographer’s Note
Cannon Beach, on the Oregon coast, is known for long stretches of sandy beach with its famous Haystack Rock, which I'll show in a subsequent post.
April isn't the greatest month to visit, but the beaches aren't crowded and at least it wasn't raining or windy. I didn't get the pleasure of seeing a great sunset, but for a few minutes there was a pink beam piercing the clouds.

Hello Claudia,
What a compelling shot! The composition is exquisite, featuring the young man walking his dog, a school of seagulls searching for a meal, and that remarkable highlight — a shaft of light breaking through the clouds. If you don't regard it as meddling, I would like to offer a piece of constructive advice: rotate the image 0.4° clockwise. I will do a ws to show the subtle difference.
Warm regards,
Bulent

Hi Claudia
I think you got a unique shot here with the streak of orange in the sky. It also counter balances the man and his dog. Well done.
