Macro shot (using tripod) from Kodak color print. Shot in 1978 White House Tour, Washington DC. They say time is of the essence, so I must post this today! History in the making. See comic strip Doonsbury

I made it to the tour in 1978 after waiting the previous 2 days for a ticket queue but the tour was free. No camera was allowed. We could shoot White House south lawn from outside the fence, but that was about it. I could not find any Kodak prints or negatives of all my travel to DC or PA (the swing state), but this ticket was in my album collection.

The White House website says now you need to get booking through your Congressman for White House Tours but another website gives ticket prices for 2006-2007 official tour?

Within 48Hours, we will see history being made for the 44th president and many will be reading about Barack Obama moving into this place by 2009. Any one knows why 2008 is even year for election but the president-elect takes office on odd 2009 year?

In my 1978 tour, Jimmy Carter was not around in the White House nor did I get to see Rosalind, because he was busy on this day wrapping up Egypt/Israel signing of Camp David Accord by Sadat/Begin. Later Jimmy received the Nobel Peace Prize award.
