Hello Paul,

Nice composition with the track used to drive the look up to the lighthouse.
I like also the blur of movement put on the clouds what is drawing a particular ambiance to this photo.

P.S. If you want to see a prime example of the word hypocrite compare my previous critique of you to my latest image .. if the pot were any blacker it would be a black hole : )

Nugget points, did you found some gold there? Most probably not, otherwise you would not post the picture, it would give away where to find gold ... On a more serious you have produces a very intense shot with the way up to the lighthouse,a very dramatic sky with vibrant as well as bold colors. Well done

Beautiful shot with lovely colours and atmosphere thanks to the rising sun. Well composed with the path to the lighthouse emerging from the left corner and leading the eye all the way to the pinnacle of the lighthouse. The rocks also play an important role in the composition as they parallel the the side of the hill to also lead the eye in the right directon.
We've booked NZ next year but we don't get to the South coast

Hi Paul,
really nice this Nugget point that someone can see on the far end of the horizon.I like the perspective and the depth that created from the narrow alley and lead the eye to the light house.The subdued light, with the sun still painting pastoral colors in the clouds makes this a memorable shot.

An impressive place with a great beauty, very well caught in this good framing.
The luminosity of the dawn with the Sun almost appearing behind the horizon line, the clouds, the elegance of the lighthouse on this coastal landscape, the winding way and the walker, they create a very beautiful composition and with a technical impeccable execution.

Nice early morning shot, with good detail captured in the shadows, and a lovely cloud formation above the first glowing signs of the sun coming up. The rocks make this spot special, I think. The water has a pleasing metallic gleam to it. Nice work.

Hello Paul,

The image is exquisitely composed, with the lighthouse sitting atop the conical precipice. The slow shutter speed (1/5 second) appears to be just right for the exposure, especially in creating a smoother view of the ocean. It is successful in conveying an atmosphere of tranquility.

Hello Paul, I came across another lighthouse after you comment when you critiqued mine but I didn't realize that you had posted one as well. I like the soft morning tones and the inclusion of the person in red walking along the path. Fantastic cloud formation & natural colouring in the sky, nice composition with the path leading to the well placed lighthouse,exposures well handled. Nugget is or was also a shoe polish.

Is this not the place from where Henk had shared a couple of pictures in TE? This is of course a different view with the path providing a fine perspective leading up to the lighthouse, against the subtle sunset colours of the sky. Like the silky effect on the water as well! Good work!

Hi Paul,

If all goes well I'll make it to this area before January - I've just applied for New Zealand residence!, although I don't know where we'll settle down yet.

Fine shot - the juxtaposition of the headland, rising from the foreground against the sky, descending from the top of the photo makes a dynamic composition. The sunrise colours are attractive and I like how you've managed to maintain detail in the foreground shooting into a relatively strong back light.

what a beauty of a photo you have here! this pathway leading for the strongest anchoring point of the photo, is also great to add depth to it.
Also like the subtle light all along it, and the smoothness of this beautiful sky.
A photo we only have to sit and enjoy the rest is there just for our joy.

Hi Paul,
I love the way you captured the path leading to the lighthouse, in spite of the difficult light. The inverted pyramid of cloud provides balance for the nugget of land. It sounds like a wonderful drive to get there as well.
