Photographer’s Note

From the Salgar Castle
Colombia Port - Atlantico
...................................................................................
From Castillo De Salgar, there is the landscape.

Caribbean waters hit the rocks hard, while a gray sky threatening to drop a few tears.

Half hour of the day, despite not having the usual strong and illumination, did not help much. Any excess of the clouds that are positioned in the area.

Not so, there was no time or opportunity to make more shots. But it is on my list of places to visit then, hopefully in better conditions.

The story said that the strategic location of the site was in the colonial era an ideal place for the introduction of contraband into the country, using the Magdalena River as a gateway.

Over the years became a thriving port, so the Spanish authorities in Cartagena with a seat, ordered the construction of a strong on the hill of San Antonio, near the hamlet of Sabanilla, from which one could see vessels seeking to dock in that area or go up the Magdalena River.

A beautiful site, worth visiting

Amicably, John
