Photographer’s Note
Sydney Bus Museum has fascinating collection of old buses and other stuff related to public transport.
Most of the old equipment were of British origin like the tree veterans here: 1935 Albion Venturer Type 80, 1936 Leyland TD4 and 1940 AEC Regent 0661.
AEC bus is restored to the camouflage livery carried by about half of the Sydney's Department of Road Transport and Tramways fleet between 1942 and 1945. These colours were applied as the buses were sometimes used for the movement of troops during that period of World War II.
According to museum website the place is unfortunately at the moment closed from general public because "museum cannot ensure the safety of the general public in the event of fire in the museum building".

Hi Kari,
What a delightful array of vintage doubledeckers this is and I've never seen a camouflaged one (the London Transport museum should get one). Their colourful livery contrasts nicely with the drab wall. Good work.
Have a fine start of the week,
Bert

Hei Kari,
An attractive and nicely nostalgic shot, which with the accompanying note is an excellent TE contribution.

Fascinating place, and brings back memories of my youth. Is that the Leyland in the middle. I'm sure it's the model of ex London Transport bus that my lcoal bus company used for city transport in the 1960's (I guess 30 years use is quite noraml for a bus, great vehicles, even at the time).

Hello Kari,
I am an admirer of various vessels and vehicles... and of such oldies! they are part of our life, our history. Very intresting "creatuers": they look like strange animals to me :) I especially like the one in the middle: "444" :)
A special thanks for the Note to the photo, too!
Best regards,
Elena

Hi Kari,
Well you learn something new everyday, I've lived my whole life in Sydney and did not know this museum existed, well done, thank you for taking me there, I'll have to go and pay a visit.
Lovely definition on these old timers, they look fantastic.
I'm sure I went to school on the one in the middle.
Cheers
Peter

A interesting display of double decked busses. The camouflaged one makes a contrast compared to the brighter colors of peacetime.
All the best,
Emmanuel

Hello Kari, I have never seen more than English bus at a time in Australia, seems a little strange to see this, especially the camouflage one, Well done an interesting good quality shot.
Regards
Santo
