Photographer’s Note
A recent article in the Irish Times, about Google Street View and personal privacy (written by my sister), reminded me of this 'street' photo that I took from my flat.
I had noticed the interesting reflections in the cars before, especially the big black SUVs, so one afternoon I tried to capture the image.
This photo also reminds me of my photo conspicuous consumption and tiny flats - which was take in the same street in 2005.
The more I look at this photo, the more I wonder if Google Earth will soon be providing Google Ads for car drivers to display on their car roofs and bonnets.

Hello Andrew,
wonderful reflections on the surface of the car! :) I am amazed at its cleanness (this is absolutely impossible in Moscow)!
"personal privacy" is a very complicated issue... "To violate it or not to violate? this is the question!"
Best regards,
Elena

Bonjour, cher Andrew,

Tantalising thoughts here Andrew, what exactly was your sisters point on google street view, presumably the privacy issue, I guess the other consequence of this could be targeted advertising, based on maching people's possessions with their address.
BTW, just to give plenty of advance notice, I'll be back in HK from 12th-25th September, I'm sure we'll find a common free eveing in our schedules.
