Photographer’s Note
On the banks of the River Soar on the Charnwood side in Leicestershire looking over to the village of Normanton on Soar on the Nottinghamshire side. The Plough Inn is an old pub that has a local reputation for fine food and a popular place in the summer for it's large outdoor garden to watch the life of the river go by.
Taken the same early morning as my 'rubbish' picture yesterday. I was attracted here by the range of interlocking triangles - always a strong compositional element.
Something quintessentially English in this image for me.

Interesting composition with all the triangles. Black & white is perfect, thought the harder contrast in the lower half makes it feel slightly unbalanced. Still well seen and composed.

Hi Kev,
You obtained an excellent, eyecatching effect on this picture. Great composition and fantastic reflection on the surface of the water. Great B&W presentation.
Best regards,
Darek
