Photographer’s Note

View of Papeete harbour. This photo was taken from my hotel balcony. You can see the Moorea island in the background.

Papeete is the capital of French Polynesia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean. The commune (municipality) of Papeete is located on the island of Tahiti. It is the primary center of Tahitian and French Polynesian public and private governmental, commercial, industrial and financial services, the hub of French Polynesian tourism and a commonly used Port of call. The Windward Islands are themselves part of the Society Islands.
The urban area of Papeete had a total population of 131,695 inhabitants at the August 2007 census, 26,017 of whom lived in the commune of Papeete proper.

Bonjour Leonor,
c'est le jour des couchers de soleil, voici le 3e que je critique d'affilée. Quelle merveilleux panache de couleurs, des chaudes aux froides.
Une photo qui dégage une ambiance très paisible.

Eu estive lá mas não vi nenhum pôr-do-sol assim tão bonito. O que tive foi um excelente jantar lá em baixo, junto ao cais.
Gosto muito das cores obtidas nas nuvens e na água.

me alegra mucho volver a verte aquí.
Y esta impresionante puesta de sol en el paraíso tahitiano corta la respiración por su inmensa belleza y su gran nivel estético.
Los tonos en el cielo y sus reflejos sobre el agua plateada crean una atmósfera muy especial, atractiva y relajante.
La realización es excelente, la imagen tiene una gran calidad.

Que belleza de puesta de sol, parece que el fuego esta en el cielo y que lo ha transmitido al agua tales son los fantasticos reflejos, la imagen es rica en detalles con los contraluces del puerto. Un buen trabajo.
