"Don't look at them, look at me!". Young girls are usually very shy and timid in Yemen. This one was an exception. Her sisters would run away from me with their faces hidden in black scarfs. Once this girl saw me taking pictures, she would constatly stand straight in front of me proud and bold. Exceptional little girl. I have never seen such mature gaze in such a young girl. She definitely wanted to be photographed. She definitely wanted to tell me something, to pass some message along ...

No swietne, jest jakas duma pomieszana z rozpacza w jej oczach, jakby tesknila do innego swiata, nie chcac jednoczesnie zerwac korzeni... Swietnie wykadrowane i bardzo ladnie rozmyte tlo pozostawiajace wiele miejsca dla wyobrazni.

I have to say that I disliked the composition at first, I would move the camera a bit to the right to show some space to her left (without centering her on the picture, of course).

However, looking more attentively I see that the blurred elements of color in the background seem to balance the picture correctly.

Nice workon this one, the heavy bokeh of the other girls really emphasizes their timidity against this girls boldness, and the maturity and thoughtfulness in her eyes is very evident. The tight crop works well, bringing us in very close to her.
