Photographer’s Note

I'm back after a week in Belgium for business, which obviously didn't allow me to shoot tons of pictures, but at least could I meet there France, Patrick and Philippe for a very nice evening.

One of the first words that come to mind when evocating Belgium is Beer, nowhere else in the world will you find such a diversity of excellent beers.

This photo has been taken in the cafe "A la Mort Subite" (french for "Sudden Death") in the center of Bruxelles and features the local specialty, the Gueuze. This one undergoes a special brewing process and aging in portuguese wooden barrels to deliver a very special and immediately recognizable bitter taste. A variation can be produced adding cherry to get the equally famous Kriek.

Kindly dedicated to Didier.

And warmest thanks to all of you who attended my 1000th upload party this week !
