Intro: Dear visitor,

How to introduce myself without being to much self centered? That's rather difficult, but I will try to be as objective as possible. Photography runs in our family: My grand father mothers side, photographed in Germany every region with his beloved Voigtlander Bessia. The pictuers he published in his book series about Germany's regions. My father and finally myself, when I turned 13, were using this very photo camera.

My first SRL was a Yashica but soon, if I remember correctly 1973, I switched to Canon AE-1 and soon after to Canon A-1 and F-1. I was a die hard Canon photographer until July 2006, when I switched from analog to digital with Olympus. With other words I'm now a "born again" Olympus photographer.

In the 1970s I traveled extensively in Europe and North Africa, always taking pictures. The big change came in 1982, when I switched to journalism. Since this time I'm writing and taking pictures for various publications in Europe, U.S. and Asia. What I like best is to use wide angles and at the same time telelenses. I have a keen interest in nature and people, but of course I have a shot a lot of more technical pictures. Where ever I go I normally take my equipment along, I do not like to miss a chance to take a good picture.

When times permit I will upload pictures to this side, come and see them, your comments and critiques are most welcome.

Dear TE friends - August 17, 2009

Sorry for not responding to mails since Friday, August 14, 2009, but the graphic card of my notebook got a problem and I only could get i fixed today by Monday evening, August 17, 2009. After the repair everything should now be back to normal.
